Scotiabank fundraising underway at Okanagan Save-On-Foods

September 19 2026 VERNON/KELOWNA - Scotiabank employees are collecting donations this morning and early afternoon at Save-On-Foods stores across the Okanagan as part of the bank’s annual Fetching Funds Day of Giving.

The Okanagan Humane Society says the drive is in its support and that money raised is meant for urgent veterinary care. OHS is the named beneficiary, not a co-host.

Collection continues until 2 p.m.

Stores listed by OHS are:

  • Save-On-Foods Village Green in Vernon

  • Orchard Plaza, Lakeshore and The Ponds in Kelowna

  • West Kelowna at 2475 Dobbin Road

  • Penticton at 2111 Main Street.

OHS has invited people to meet rescue animals. Animals are expected at some sites. The society has not said they will be at every store.

In a post this week, OHS described Daisy, a dog left at a Vernon clinic after a car hit. She had a ruptured eardrum, an injury near her eye and a fractured hind leg. Care cost about $5,000.

OHS said Daisy's care was made possible because of donations.

Anyone who would like to give can still do so in person at the listed stores before 2 p.m., or online at okanaganhumanesociety.com/scotiabank-fetching-funds/.
