Expanded Closure on Aberdeen Road

UPDATE July 24, 2025: Fortis BC has advised that a gas line on Aberdeen Road was struck and has been repaired. No details how the line was struck.

Previous closure due to sewer upgrades remain in effect closing Aberdeen Road between Highway 6 and Middleton Mountain Drive.

UPDATE: Coldstream has issued a clarification regarding the expanded road closures along Aberdeen Road.

Now they say Aberdeen is closed from Venables Drive to Selkirk Drive. Previously the district had said Aberdeen was closed from Kalamalka Lake Drive to Highway 6.

Expanded Closure on Aberdeen Road Now Includes Location of Coldstream Fire Hall

July 24, 2025 – Coldstream, BC: A new section of Aberdeen Road has been closed due to unforeseen circumstances, adding to the previous closure already in place between Selkirk Drive and Middleton Mountain Road.

The latest closure affects the stretch from Kalamalka Road to Highway 6, which includes access to the Coldstream Fire Hall.

According to an official update released Thursday, local traffic is currently being permitted in and out of the affected area, but the full cause of the closure is still under investigation.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding,” the District stated in a public notice. Further updates will be provided as the situation evolves.
