According to posts on social media multiple ERT members and vehicles were on Harris Creek Road South of Lumby Saturday morning.

Southeast District Emergency Response Team members were also spotted at the Lumby RCMP detachment.

There is no official word what the team was doing in the rural area South of Lumby.

Accompanying the ERT members, the RCMP Tactical Armoured Vehicle (TAC).

The RCMP's Tactical Armoured Vehicle (TAV), is a reinforced vehicle used in high-risk situations. It shields officers from firearms and explosions, allowing safe approach to volatile situations.

TAVs have heavy armor, bullet-resistant glass, and reinforced tires to navigate hazardous environments and terrains.

The TAV can not only transport tactical teams and gear, they also feature tools like spotlights, cameras, and extendable platforms.

Deployed by Emergency Response Teams (ERTs) across Canada, TAVs ensure officer safety during critical incidents.

Last Thursday the Southern District ERT team was in Vernon assisting an operation. That event included shutting down busy Highway 97 through Vernon for about an hour.

More information will be passed on when made available.
