July 26 2026 11:30 am - The Evacuation Alert for the La Casa area has been lifted, despite the K51214 wildfire still being classified as out of control.
The decision was reached in consultation with BC Wildfire Service.

Officials say crews have made significant progress reducing fire activity and protecting the community.
Overnight, BC Wildfire reports ground and aerial suppression with only limited growth. Firefighters re-established a secure perimeter and report no spotting or outward fire spread this morning.
Suppression work continues today, focused on remaining heat.
This incident is a good reminder that wildfires can appear quickly and conditions can change fast, residents should stay prepared and ready to leave if needed.
BC Wildfire says local residents may still see lingering smoke, visible hot spots and firefighting equipment in the area.
