Crash Takes Out Power Pole on Old Kamloops Road in Vernon

July 18, 2025: Shortly before 10 p.m. Friday, reports came in of a crash that had taken out a power pole on Old Kamloops Road, sending a vehicle down a grassy embankment.

Both Vernon Fire Rescue Services and BX Swan Lake Fire Department responded to the scene, along with RCMP and BC Ambulance.

The incident appeared to involve a single vehicle.

The cause of the crash has not been released. One person was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance.
