Coldstream House Fire Sunday, November 6th, 2022
Fire destroyed a house in the 8900 block of Cherry Lane, Coldstream today.
The fire was first reported shortly before 10 am.
Initially the blaze was reported as a garage fire. The fire spread to the house quickly. When fire crews arrived the house was fully involved.
Coldstream and Lavington fire halls attended. No injuries have been reported.
The home owner and his family escaped the fast moving fire with nothing more than their pajamas. Neighbours came to the families assistance with warm clothing and other items to help to get them through the first hours of their ordeal.
There was no time to grab wallets, purses or vehicle keys.
Family pets are unaccounted for.
No cause for the fire has been determined. Fire investigators are on scene.

A neighbour of the family left homeless by this mornings fire in Coldstream has started a GoFundMe.
Sheridan Pimson writes the family left their burning home with "no shoes, no coats, no wallets, only the clothes on their backs".
Homeowners Ross, Marianne and their 14 year old daughter, Marley escaped unharmed.
One of their two dogs and a cat were not as fortunate.
Pimson asks people to open their hearts and help the family through this stressful time.
