BC Interior Travel Update – Coquihalla & Rogers Pass

March 25, 2026 - Drivers can expect winter driving conditions with snow, gusty winds, and reduced visibility on higher elevations through Thursday.


Sill winter on the Coquihalla

Coquihalla Highway 5 – Hope to Merritt (summit 1230 m)


Tonight: Periods of snow, 5–10 cm. Snow level lowering to valley bottom. Gusty winds.


Thursday: Periods of snow ending near noon (2–4 cm more), then mix of sun and cloud. Gusty winds.


Coquihalla Highway 5 – Merritt to Kamloops (summit 1440 m)


Tonight: Partly cloudy with 30% chance of flurries early evening, then clearing. Gusty winds.


Thursday: Sunny becoming mix of sun and cloud near noon. Gusty winds.


Okanagan Connector (Hwy 97C) – Merritt to Kelowna (Pennask Summit 1728 m)


Tonight: Partly cloudy, 60% chance of flurries early evening. Windy.


Thursday: Mix of sun and cloud. Gusty winds.


Trans-Canada Highway 1 – Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass (1370 m)


Tonight: Periods of snow, about 5 cm. Windy early evening.


Thursday: Flurries, about 2 cm. Gusty winds.


Gusty winds may cause blowing snow and slippery sections on summits.
