Police Seek Axe-Wielding Suspects After Attempted Robbery in Downtown Vernon
Vernon RCMP are searching for two suspects following an attempted robbery at a downtown business on Thursday afternoon.

Just after 3 p.m. on May 15, police responded to a panic alarm at a business in the 3000-block of 30th Avenue. According to RCMP, two men attempted to rob the business, with one entering the store armed with a small axe.
An employee confronted the armed suspect, who then fled the scene. Both suspects left the area before police arrived.
Despite extensive patrols, officers were unable to locate either individual. Both suspects were described as wearing black pants and black hoodies.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and that video footage is being sought from nearby businesses.
