Body found on FSR North of Vernon, RCMP believe death suspicious
Vernon North RCMP has released the identity of a man whose body was discovered on a forest service road that leads to Procter Lake.
The deceased is 30-year-old Miguel Suzor.
BC RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit (MCU) has taken over the investigation.
Suzor's body was found on a forest service road that leads to Proctor Lake, Sunday, July 2nd.
Investigators are asking the public for assistance. If you were in the area of Silver Star Road or Rogers Road on July 2, 2023, and saw something unusual, or if you have dashcam video, you are asked to contact police at 1-877-987-8477
Major Crime Unit Investigators were near the publicized area of interest Wednesday afternoon taking pictures of a property on Silverstar Road.
It's unknown at this time why MCU was at the address. Police have not commented regarding any connection to the investigation surrounding the discovery of Suzor's body on July 2nd.
The address has been in the news recently. Last November (2022) fire destroyed a house on the property.
There were no injuries reported.
There have also been reports police were restricting access to the 8100 block of Rogers Road sometime over the weekend.
Investigators are also looking for information regarding Miguel Suzor's whereabouts during July 1-2, 2023.
