January 21, 2022: The Precautionary Water Quality Advisory for residents of the Greater Vernon area on the Duteau water supply service has been rescinded.
The advisory was put in place on January 17th after low water flow resulting from a failed air release valve allowed some inadequately treated water into the system.
Flows and water treatment have been restored. Water Treatment Plant and all levels of treatment have returned to normal. Bacterial testing results and chlorine disinfection levels are satisfactory in the distribution system.
