February 26, 2023:
On Sunday evening, the Enderby Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 100 block of West Enderby road. The call to 911 was made shortly before 7 pm, reporting flames and smoke coming from one of the home's windows.
Upon arrival, firefighters found flames and smoke coming from the house.
They quickly worked to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring homes.
The RCMP, BC Hydro, and Fortis also attended the scene to assist with the incident.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, a candle is suspected to be the cause of the blaze.
