Fire At Vernon Landfill Continues Into Second Day
BX Swan Lake Fire Rescue spent much of Tuesday at the Vernon Landfill on Birnie Road, south of Vernon, BC, dealing with a stubborn fire burning deep inside a large pile of garbage. Quick Work by Lavington and Coldstream Fire Halls Saves House
Around 5 PM Friday, Lavington and Coldstream Fire Halls responded to reports of a chimney fire in the 7200 Block of Highway 6. When crews arrived, the fire was threatening to spread into the walls.
