Vernon RCMP seek public’s help to identify theft suspect

January 30 2026 - The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a vehicle theft investigation in Vernon.

Police say the theft was reported on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, after a vehicle was taken from a business in the 4600-block of 27th Street. Investigators allege the suspect used a pickup truck and a dolly to tow the vehicle off the lot.

The stolen vehicle, a grey 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe, was later recovered stripped down to the frame.

“We’re releasing these photos to the public looking for any information that could help advance our investigation,” stated Const. Chris Terleski, media relations officer for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP. “If you recognize the person or the vehicle please give us a call.”
