Suspects Arrested

January 13 2026 - A pair of Vernon men were taken into custody following a break and enter at a local business early Sunday morning (January 11 2026).

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP say officers were called to a business in the 1200-block of Kalamalka Lake Road around 5:30 a.m. Sunday after the owner received an alarm notification and went to check the property. Upon arrival, the owner discovered a broken exterior door and two people inside the building.

The suspects fled on foot but were tracked by police into Polson Park. After a brief chase, both men were arrested without incident.

A 48-year-old and a 35-year-old, both from Vernon, were remanded in custody until their court appearances.
