Wednesday, October 29, 2025 - It was a nasty night on the Okanagan Connector with the predicted blowing snow and slippery sections making for difficult driving conditions.
As of early Wednesday morning, Highway 97C between Pennask Summit and Aspen Grove remains slushy and slippery, with light snow still falling in the area.
Temperatures at the Pennask Summit are around –2°C, with the road surface near –4°C.
Conditions are expected to gradually improve through the day as temperatures climb above freezing, reaching about 7°C by mid-afternoon.
Drivers should still use caution on higher elevations, especially near the summit where compact snow and slush remain.
Motorists are reminded to check DriveBC.ca for the latest highway updates and traffic cameras before heading out.
