Lavington Outdoor Pool Opening Delayed Again

July 9 2026 - The long-awaited opening of the Lavington Outdoor Pool has been pushed back once more after mechanical problems surfaced during final startup and testing on Thursday.

According to a notice from the District of Coldstream, unforeseen issues arose on July 9, meaning the facility will not open as hoped on Friday, July 10, 2026.

“The District extends its apologies and expresses its sincere appreciation to the community for its patience and understanding as staff work diligently to complete the necessary mechanical repairs and testing,” the release stated.

No new opening date has been announced. Residents seeking information on swim lessons or other recreation programs are encouraged to contact the District.
