Fire at Vernon Mobile Home Park Quickly Extinguished, No Injuries Reported

VERNON, BC - Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, Vernon Fire Rescue Services responded to reports of a fire at a mobile home park in the 6800 block of Tronson Road, near the Vernon Regional Airport.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a mobile home emitting heavy smoke.Crews swiftly extinguished the fire and remained on scene for over an hour to ensure the situation was under control.
No injuries were reported. The fire caused temporary disruptions, with vehicle and transit traffic blocked at the intersection of Tronson Road and Lakeshore Road, where a hose was stretched across the roadway during firefighting efforts.
Operations at the Vernon Regional Airport appeared unaffected, with flights continuing as normal.
