Fire at SilverStar Brewing Vernon

February 24 2026 - An early morning fire has temporarily closed the doors of SilverStar Brewing Company in Vernon.

Yellow tape was visible across the main entrance of the popular craft brewery and taproom, which operates as both a pub and restaurant.

Emergency crews were called shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday after alarms were triggered at the business. Witnesses at the scene reported smoke coming from the roof of the building. Fire crews were able to gain entry and extinguish the blaze quickly.

Vernon Fire Rescue Services responded along with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, BC Emergency Health Services, BC Hydro and FortisBC.

No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire has not yet been released. There is no word at this time on when SilverStar Brewing Company will reopen.
