June 16 2026 - An 18-year-old Vernon man died Monday (June 15 2026) afternoon after his pickup truck veered off Westside Road and rolled, ejecting all three occupants.
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to the single-vehicle collision near the intersection of Westside Road and Lawrence Lane around 3:45 p.m. on June 15, 2026.

The older grey Dodge Ram was travelling northbound when it caught the soft shoulder, left the roadway to the right, and overturned.
The driver was deceased at the scene. His two passengers, a 15-year-old youth and a 19-year-old woman, both from Vernon, were also ejected and suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
They were transported to hospital by BC Ambulance Service.
Crews from the Okanagan Indian Band Fire Department and two ambulances assisted at the scene.
Westside Road was closed in both directions for several hours while emergency services worked.
“Vernon North Okanagan RCMP offer our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” said Corporal Tania Finn, Media Relations Officer.
The collision remains under investigation.
Police are asking anyone with dash-cam footage of a grey Dodge Ram on Westside Road between 3:15 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. to contact Constable Wagner-Michaud at the Armstrong office at (250) 546-3028.
