Cold Snap Coming to an End North Okanagan

The North Okanagan received a moderate dusting of snow again today.

According to Environment Canada, the rest of the week should be snow-free, with the possibility of snow mixed with rain on Monday.


Temperatures are predicted to rise next week, marking the end of the North Okanagan's cold snap.


By next week, the region should be experiencing temperature highs of 5°C and lows just above zero.


Cold temperatures continue in higher areas, such as SilverStar Resort, with maximum temperatures expected to be just below zero°C for the rest of the week.


There are currently alerts and snowfall warnings for the following areas:

- Highway 5

- Trans Canada Highway from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass

- Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton

- Coquihalla from Hope to Merritt
