Busy Morning for BX Swan Lake Fire Rescue

December 19, 2025 — BX Swan Lake Fire Rescue crews had a busy Friday morning, responding to two motor-vehicle crashes within minutes of each other.
The first crash occurred at approximately 10 a.m. on Silver Star Road, just west of Jackpine Road. The incident involved two vehicles, prompting a response from BX Swan Lake Fire Rescue.
Almost simultaneously, crews were also dispatched to a second collision, this time on Old Kamloops Road.
That crash appeared to involved three vehicles, with one car ending up in a ditch with airbags deployed. At least one person taken from the scene by ambulance.
The extent of injuries if any to other parties is unknown.
BX Swan Lake Fire Rescue was joined at the Old Kamloops Road crash by BC Ambulance Service and the RCMP.
Old Kamloops Road was closed in both directions for a time.
