Busy Morning for Coldstream Fire Department
Snow began falling in Coldstream just after 5 AM on Thursday. By 7 AM, at least five centimeters had accumulated on the roads and highways.
Shortly after, reports of crashes on Highway 6 between Aberdeen and Kalamalka Lake Roads started coming in. Coldstream Fire Department responded to two crash scenes, both in close proximity.
The first involved a semi-truck that left the road, tipped onto its side, and reportedly took down a hydro pole.
The second crash, a short distance away, involved two vehicles that spun out.
Highway 6 was closed in both directions and remains closed at this time.
There is no word yet on injuries or the causes of the crashes.
