2024-03-08: Vernon Fire Rescue responded to reports a warming fire had been set inside a parked school bus.
It's alleged, but unconfirmed, a homeless person gained entry to the school bus and started the fire.
The call came in shortly after 7 AM Friday morning. RCMP attended the scene in the 4300 block of 31st Street, Vernon.
A fire was quickly extinguished.
No children are believed to have been in or around the bus when the incident happened.
