April 11 2024: A small burn pile on the west side of Swan Lake spread to grass and reeds along the lakes shoreline, prompting several calls to 911.
BX Swan Lake Fire Rescue responded, and crews quickly brought the burn pile under control.
The grass and reeds along the shoreline were very dry.
A light rain began to fall during the event. It is unknown whether the fire was permitted or not.
