Highway 1 (TransCanada Highway), in both directions. Vehicle incident between Back Valley Rd and Juniper Beach Prov Park Access Rd for 6.4 km (17 to 11 km east of Cache Creek). A motor vehicle incident near Juniper Beach Provincial Park has closed the Trans-Canada Highway.
The incident happened shortly before noon today. At least one person has been transported to the hospital. Unconfirmed reports say one vehicle is over an embankment, and a semi was involved.
BC Ambulance and RCMP are on the scene.
On Social Media, X/Twitter, @Daggerville has posted a picture tagged as an accident in the area today.
No official word yet as to the cause or injuries.
Today's accident is very near the spot where four wildfire subcontractors lost their lives after colliding with a semi in mid-September 2023.
