Thank You, Coldstream - Family Who Lost Everything To Sunday House Fire

Updated: Mar 31, 2023

UPDATE: November 9th, 2022

The Coldstream family whose home was completely consumed by fire last Sunday (Nov. 6th, 2022) publicly thanked the community for their help today.

The fire grew so quickly, the family barely had time to get out of their house

Ross White, his wife Marianne, and their 14-year-old daughter Marley barely escaped the fire by running to the street in their pajamas.

Neighbours immediately came to the family's aid, providing warm clothing. Next, a GoFundMe account was created to help the White family by Sheridon Pimson.

White, overcome with emotion, says the family is still in shock.

"We got all the people out, lost a dog and cat, the support has been amazing".

"I want to thank everyone again, it really goes to show what a great community we live in. It won't be forgotten, what goes around comes around"

Ross White also said the Coldstream and Lavington fire halls arrived very quickly.

Among the items lost in the fire, were medals won by Marianne White (nee Illing) in the Athens 2004 Olympics.
