At 12:30 on December 20, 2023, in Vernon, BC, a single-vehicle motor vehicle incident occurred in the 3900 block of 27th Avenue.
The incident involved an SUV that collided with and snapped off a power pole. No cause for the incident has been reported, and there are no known injuries.
Vernon Fire Rescue and BC Hydro crews responded to the scene. As a result of the incident, residents in the immediate area experienced a temporary power outage.
