January 28th, 2023 UPDATE:
One of SilverStar Mountains 10 Chairs remains closed today. Cleanup continues on Alpine Meadows chair and terrain.
Fallen trees due to wind and heavy snow, avalanche control, and even a short power outage earlier this week have kept mountain staff busy.

-- Alpine Meadows chair & all terrain will remain closed today.
-- Criss Cross is open with Marginal Conditions for E Lot access only.
-- Night Skiing will run tonight as usual, with the gondola operating.
January 27, 2023 UPDATE:
High winds and fallen trees continue to affect normal operations at SilverStar Mountain Resort.
The Alpine Meadows chair & terrain will remain closed again today. Putnam Creek opening will be delayed due to a power outage and ongoing avalanche control work.
The majority of SilverStars runs and trails remain open.

January 26th, 2023
Warmer than usual weather has made it necessary for SilverStar Mountain Resort to temporarily suspend operation of one of its 10 lifts.
The Alpine Meadows Chair and associated runs were closed today.
As well, a handful of trails served by the Comet Express lift were also closed.
Staff is busy clearing trees felled by high wind and heavy wet snow.
SilverStar Mountain Resort:
“With the incoming weather changes please be aware that some of our operations may be affected. With the new snow and some incoming wind events, we will continue to do danger tree mitigation throughout the mountain. Because of this, Alpine Meadows and select narrow runs may be closed affecting access to E lot and some terrain. Please respect all mountain signage as we work through these challenging weather events.”
Fresh snow and an artic airflow are expected by this weekend.
