A motor vehicle incident has closed Kalamalka Lake Road and left hundreds of Vernon and Coldstream households without power. Traffic lights are out at several intersections.
Also affected, Polson Place Mall businesses like the Save-On and the newly opened LifeLabs location.
The incident occurred just before 2 am Tuesday.
Traffic lights are out in the area. Motorists are reminded when a traffic light is not operating as it should the proper procedure is to treat the intersection as if it were a 4-way stop.
The accident that cut power was on Kalamalka Lake Road near the Vernon Golf and Country Club and Pryce Landscape Products.
Its estimated power be restored by 2 pm today.
No information regarding people in the single-vehicle MVI is available.
