4 PM Saturday, December 9/23: Traffic through downtown Salmon Arm has been reduced to 1 lane alternating. An accident involving a semi and a passenger vehicle has blocked Eastbound lanes.
Expect 30-minute delays
Snow has created traffic chaos on the Trans Canda Highway just West of Salmon Arm.
There are numerous reports of semis unable to get traction on the snow-covered highway blocking traffic in both directions. There are also reports of minor fender benders. Fire and Police resources are stretched trying to control traffic in the area. Ambulances are having to block traffic.
