January 19, 2024: BC SPCA seizes seven dogs from harsh conditions in Cherryville, including standard poodles, Australian shepherd, cocker spaniel, and puppies.
According to the SPCA, the dogs were found in outdoor pens with minimal shelter, contaminated with feces and urine.
Some reportedly had frozen, matted fur, overgrown nails, and inadequate bedding.
The BC SPCA emphasizes the vulnerability of outdoor dogs, especially in freezing temperatures.
The seized dogs are now in BC SPCA centers and will be available for adoption in 1-2 weeks.
Emergency care is crucial for animals in such conditions.
