Serious Crash Shuts Down Yellowhead Highway North of Kamloops

June 12 2026 - KAMLOOPS: A serious vehicle incident brought traffic to a standstill in both directions on the Yellowhead Highway north of Kamloops Friday afternoon.

The incident occured on Highway 5 near McLure Ferry Road

The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on June 12. BC Ambulance Service, RCMP, and BC Air Ambulance responded to the scene.

Air ambulance crews airlifted at least one victim to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
