UPDATE December 28th:
We believe two vehicles were involved, carrying three people. Unconfirmed reports are two died at the scene and one was transported to hospital. This MVI happened the same time an EBus crashed on Hwy 97C Okanagan Connector killing four passengers. Original Story Christmas Eve:
Armstrong Hwy 97a serious accident Christmas Eve. s attended a serious MVA just North of Armstrong shortly after 6 pm Christmas Eve., possibly involving multiple fatalities.
There are also reports a number of people involved in the incident, but not seriously injured, are being transported from the scene by bus.
Drive BC had issued a weather warning for the section of Hwy 97a less than an hour before the incident.
Low visibility due to blowing snow and icy road conditions was reported.
