RCMP Request Publics Help Finding Missing Surrey Hunter

UPDATE: Missing Hunter Located Merritt 2021-09-29 09:46 PDT. The Merritt RCMP have now located the body of a missing hunter from Surrey. On September 29, 2021, the Merritt RCMP were called by friends of missing hunter Shi Lui, who failed to return home to Surrey from a hunting trip last week. Searchers located Liu in a remote area near Peter Hope Lake.



Surrey RCMP is requesting the public’s help finding a missing Surrey man believed to be in the Merritt BC area.

Forty-seven-year-old Shi Liu left Surrey Tuesday, Sept 21st heading for the Merritt area on a hunting trip. Shi Liu was supposed to return Thursday, September 23rd.


Liu is Asian, 5’8″, 170 pounds with black thinning hair. He may go by "Tony".

He was driving a black 2008 Nissan Pathfinder, with BC license plate KV3-86V.
