UPDATED: The construction of a new gazebo at Coldstream's McKergow Meadows has been rescheduled due to cold weather.
McKergow Meadows is located at the South West base of Middleton Mountain.
The construction is now scheduled to begin on April 24, with an anticipated completion date of May 8, 2023. During this time, a helicopter will be used to airlift steel beams and concrete up to the site.
Minor traffic interruptions are expected as follows:
On April 28, a portion of Middleton Way between Husband and Mount Grady will be closed to through traffic from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The District of Coldstream requests that residents find alternative routes. Access to homes will not be blocked.
On May 4, a brief interruption may be experienced, such as a 30-minute closure or reduction to single-lane traffic.
The original construction schedule was from April 17 to May 4.
The gazebo is to be installed by Mr. McKergow in McKergow Meadows as part of the Sale and Development Agreement between the McKergow family and the District.
