Coldstream Fire Hall responded to reports fireworks had ignited grass just beyond the fence at the Kalamalka Lookout on Kalamalka Lookout Road.
The Incident was reported just after 7:30 Sunday evening. Coldstream Firefighters quickly extinguished the small blaze.
Video from a thermal camera offers a unique view of where the fire was burning minutes earlier.
Fireworks of any kind are not permitted in Coldstream without a permit:

10 (1) A person must not:
(a) sell or offer to sell, either by way of retail or wholesale, fireworks in the District;
(b) give or hand over fireworks to another person in the District unless expressly authorized by a fireworks permit issued by the Fire Chief, and then only strictly in accordance with the permit;
or
(c) fire or discharge fireworks within the boundaries of the District unless authorized by a permit
issued by the Fire Chief, and then only strictly in accordance with the permit.
